JPG Smaller

Make the image fit the limit, not the other way around.

Hit a KB target, set exact pixels, convert formats, or crop. Then download the real file the result card reports.

Find a tool fast

Search by limit, format, or task. Examples: 100kb, webp, crop, dpi.

Which tool do I need?

Pick the constraint first. Size, pixels, format, framing, and inspection are different jobs.

Need a smaller file? Clear a KB or MB ceiling with measured output.
Need exact pixels? Match width and height rules for profiles, catalogs, and banners.
Need another format? Re-encode to the MIME type a portal or CMS expects.
Need to remove edges? Square, circle, rotate, and flip before you compress.
Need to inspect the file? Check DPI, dimensions, resolution, and MIME details.

Why JPG Smaller exists

Upload systems reject files for concrete rules. Generic sliders rarely map cleanly to those rules.

Portal and form ceilings

Job boards, visa forms, and municipal portals often publish hard limits like 50KB or 100KB. Dedicated target tools aim under that ceiling and report the real download size.

Pixel checklists

Profile photos and catalog images fail when width or height is wrong, even if the file is already light. Resize tools solve the dimension rule directly.

Format and framing

Some systems want JPG only. Others need WebP, ICO, or a square headshot. Conversion and crop tools handle those constraints before you fight quality again.

Honest results

Every successful run produces a real file you can preview and download. Bytes and dimensions come from that file, not a simulated success state.

Compression

When the rejection is about kilobytes

If the help text names a maximum file size, start with a target compression tool. Crop empty margins first when the subject is small in a wide frame. That often preserves faces better than another quality drop.

Useful starts: Compress JPG to 100KB, 50KB, PNG Compressor.

Resize

When the rejection is about pixels

Kilobytes and pixels are independent validators. A file can be under 100KB and still fail a 500x500 checklist. Use resize when the brief lists exact dimensions, then compress only if weight remains high.

Useful starts: Image Resizer, 1080x1080, Instagram sizes.

Convert

When the rejection is about format

Changing the extension does not change the file. Converters decode and re-encode so the download matches the format a portal, CMS, or browser path expects. Watch transparency: PNG alpha becomes a matte on JPG.

Useful starts: PNG to JPG, JPG to WebP, Image to JPG.

How it works

Same path on every tool: upload, process, inspect the real result, download.

A portrait passing through a process light: upload on the left, process in the center, download on the right
  1. 1 Upload Choose a local image or fetch a public URL where supported.
  2. 2 Process The engine compresses, resizes, converts, crops, or inspects for that tool.
  3. 3 Inspect Review file size, dimensions, and format on the result card.
  4. 4 Download Save the generated file and submit that download to the destination.

Temporary processing, not a photo library

Uploads exist to produce your download, then expire on a cleanup schedule. Do not treat the site as long-term storage. Read the privacy page for retention details, and skip uploads your organization forbids processing online.
