About JPG Smaller
JPG Smaller is an online image tools platform for real upload limits: compress to a file-size ceiling, resize to exact pixels, convert formats, crop framing, and inspect DPI, dimensions, or MIME details.
What JPG Smaller does
People open these tools when a form, CMS, portal, or profile upload rejects a file for kilobytes, pixels, or format. JPG Smaller is built around those concrete rules. Every successful run produces a real download. The result card reports measured bytes, dimensions, and format from that generated file.
Why the platform exists
Generic “quality sliders” often leave users guessing whether a download will pass a published limit. JPG Smaller focuses on practical outcomes: target ceilings, exact dimensions, honest conversion, and clear inspection tools. The product goal is usefulness and accuracy, not inflated marketing claims.

Who publishes JPG Smaller
JPG Smaller is the publisher. The public contact is [email protected]. This site does not list a personal expert biography, purchased credentials, or invented staff pages. Organization details in schema match this page: the product name, the production URL, and the support mailbox.
How the tools are built
The public site is PHP, HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript. Image work runs on the server through the ImageProcessor (GD). There is no simulated progress and no hardcoded success size. A result card is filled from the file that was just written.
How the tools are designed
Upload an image or fetch a supported public URL. The server processes the file for the selected tool. You inspect the measured result, preview when appropriate, then download the file you intend to submit. Temporary files exist to support that download workflow and are cleaned on a schedule described in the Privacy Policy.
How tools are tested
Uploads are validated (type, size, dimensions). Processing must produce a readable file. Bytes and pixels on the card must match that file. Target tools only say a ceiling was met when generated bytes are at or under the cap. The method, current limits, and the last measured sample are on How we test. Original experiment tables live under Research.
Accuracy philosophy
JPG Smaller does not invent success states. Output labels come from the generated file. Target-size tools aim under a published ceiling and report whether that ceiling was met. Lossy JPEG compression is not described as lossless.
Privacy approach
Uploads are processed to produce your download. They are not kept as a permanent photo library. Session cookies support security for processing requests. Advertising is currently disabled in configuration. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Quality and UX philosophy
The tool workspace stays near the top of each page. Supporting content explains real tradeoffs: bytes versus pixels, crop versus resize, format limitations, and when a sibling tool is the better next step. The interface aims for clarity on desktop and mobile without heavy frameworks.
What we do not claim
JPG Smaller does not publish invented user counts, fake rankings, fake reviews, or unsupported “best in the world” claims. If a capability is not implemented, the site should not pretend it is.
What you can expect
A working workspace near the top of each tool page. Honest errors when a file is unsupported, too large, or cannot be processed. No fabricated reviews, ratings, traffic claims, or awards. 110 live tools are in the catalog today. That count comes from the tool registry, not from a marketing round number.
